About This Farm
Established in 1970, Snake River Farm is located on the Snake River of Sherburne County, Minnesota. The River created a unique landscape of native prairie, oak savanna, wooded lowlands, wet meadows and tamarack swamp. The farm is run by the Barthel family and supplies nutrient-rich meat to over 500 Minnesota families. The farm also features a one-room schoolhouse (the Kragero School), farm museum, and trains mustang horses from the BLM for riding, driving and farm work.
