A website for your farm, built and looked after by us

$79 a month, or $790 a year. No setup fee.

We build the site, host it, keep it secure and make the changes you email us. The domain is registered in your name from day one. Buyer introductions stay separate: your listing is still free and buyers are still $35 each.

What you get

Built for you

We write the pages from what you tell us and from your listing: your shares, prices, pickup or delivery, and how a family reserves one. You check every page before it goes live.

Hosted and kept secure

Fast hosting, https, backups and software updates are all ours to look after. There is no control panel for you to learn and nothing to renew.

Changes by email

New prices, a sold-out notice, a new pickup date: email us and we make the change, usually within a day.

Your domain, in your name

The domain is registered to you from day one, not to us. After 12 months the site files are yours as well.

Google Business Profile set up

Add us as a manager on your Google Business Profile and we set it up or tidy it, so your farm shows in the map results when people nearby search for beef.

Matches your listing

Share sizes, prices and pickup details read the same on your site and on your Half a Cow Club listing, so the buyers we send you see one set of facts.

How it works

  1. 1

    Email us

Tell us your farm name, your current website if you have one, and what the site should do.

  2. 2

    We send you a draft

Within about two weeks you get a link to the full site to read through, with your own photos and your prices.

  3. 3

    You approve, it goes live

Your first payment is taken when the site is live: $79 a month, or $790 for the year. On the monthly plan you can cancel any month and the site stays up to the end of the month you have paid for.

Compared with the other ways to get a farm website

Barn2Door and GrazeCart prices are from their pricing pages in November 2026. Both are full online stores, which this is not; the question is whether you need one.

Questions farms ask

What does it cost?
$79 a month, or $790 for a year (two months free), billed by card, with no setup fee. The first payment is taken when the site goes live, not before. On the monthly plan you can cancel any month and the site stays up to the end of the month you have paid for.
Do I own the site?
The domain is registered in your name from day one, so it is yours whatever happens, and we point it wherever you ask. The site files become yours after 12 months of service. Until then we run the hosting, and you are never locked in: cancel and your domain goes with you.
Are buyer introductions included?
No, and that is on purpose. Your listing stays free and buyers stay $35 each, exactly as for every other farm. The website fee pays for the website, so a quiet month for buyers is never a month you paid for nothing.
What counts as a change?
Ordinary updates are included: prices, what is sold out, pickup dates, a new photo, a paragraph of text. A new page, a new section or a redesign is quoted separately before we start, so there are no surprises on either side.
Can I sell online with it?
The site has a reservation form that emails you, and on request a deposit button connected to your own Stripe or Square account. It is not a store with inventory, carts and shipping labels. If you need that, Barn2Door and GrazeCart do it, and we can link to your store from the site.
Who builds it?
Taro Schenker, who built and runs Half a Cow Club. The same person answers your emails and makes your changes.
I already have a website. Can you take it over?
Yes. We move your content, keep your domain and set up redirects from your old page addresses, so anything Google already ranks keeps ranking.
What about photos?
We use yours. Phone photos of your cattle, your pasture and your family are what buyers want to see, and we do not put stock pictures of somebody else’s herd on your site.
Will my site link to Half a Cow Club?
Yes, a small line in the footer reading "Website by Half a Cow Club". It tells visitors who to ask about the site and it helps families searching for beef find the directory your farm is listed in.

The full terms are at Terms for farm websites.

Want to talk it through?

Send your farm name and a link to your current site, if you have one, and we will reply with what we would build and when.
