Terms for Farms

These terms apply when a farm, butcher, co-op or other supplier ("you") claims a buyer introduction from Half a Cow Club, which is operated by Known by One, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we"). Our general Terms of Service also apply; where the two differ, these terms apply to introductions. You accept these terms when you claim a paid introduction.

When a buyer asks us to find a farm, we email nearby suppliers a preview: the buyer's general area, distance, share size and timing, but not their name or contact details. The first supplier to claim gets the buyer's name, email address, phone number if they gave one, and their request, on the claim page and by email. A buyer who asked for your farm by name is introduced only to you, unless they later ask us to look for other farms as well.

• Your first matched buyer is free.
• A buyer who asked for your farm by name is always free.
• Every other buyer costs $35, shown before you claim. You pay through Stripe Checkout when you claim. There is no subscription and no listing fee.
• While you pay, we hold the buyer for you for 30 minutes. If the payment is not completed in that time, the buyer goes back to other nearby suppliers. A payment that completes later still gets you the buyer if no one else has taken them; if someone has, we refund it.

Once you claim a buyer, we do not offer that request to any other supplier, including after a refund or replacement. If a buyer who asked for one farm by name later asks us to find other farms too, that is a separate request, and the farm they named can still take the first one.

• Contact the buyer promptly about their request.
• Use their details only to answer that request. Do not sell or share them, and do not add them to a marketing list unless the buyer agrees.
• The sale is between you and the buyer. Price, processing, delivery, food safety, licensing and the quality of what you sell are your responsibility. We are not a party to the sale, and an introduction is not a promise that the buyer will buy.

Within 7 days of receiving a paid buyer's details, you can report a problem from your supplier portal, or by emailing contact@halfacowclub.com, for one of these reasons:

• Buyer could not be reached
• Buyer had already bought before delivery
• Duplicate of a lead I already received
• Buyer is outside the area I stated
• Spam, bot, or fake details
• Contact is not authorized to buy

We look at each report and reply by email. You then choose between a replacement buyer and a refund to the payment method you used. We will offer a replacement first.

Free introductions are not refunded. If you could not reach your free buyer, say so when we ask how it went, and your next buyer is free as well. This applies once.

Our buyer alerts and introduction emails have a link to stop our emails. Using it also removes your listing from Half a Cow Club, because we only list suppliers we can send buyers to. You can also ask us at contact@halfacowclub.com, and we remove your listing the same way.

We may change these terms. If we do, we ask you to accept the new version the next time you claim a paid buyer. You only ever pay the price shown when you claim.
